Installation & Reconfiguration

The following is our standard process to support clients in the transition to new furniture. Although not all clients require all these steps, they are indicative of the thorough client centered approach Avanti Office Products is known for.

SPECIFICATION/QUOTE/ORDER STAGE:

• Finalize work station configuration
• Finalize floorplan*
• Verify furniture quantities to floorplan*
• Prepare Final Pricing
• Order entry with manufacturer
• Verify accuracy of manufacturer’s acknowledgements
• Attend Scheduled Construction Meetings as requested*
• Logistical Management of Furniture – receiving, staging & installation phase
• Installation and Delivery – Please see following pages
• Arrange for repair or replacement of damaged goods
• Asset Management / Storage*
• Furniture Design / Layout*
• Furniture Rental*
• Liquidation / Disposal of existing furniture*
• Move / Relocation*

• Reconfiguration of Existing Furniture*
• Product Specification (new or existing)*

PROJECT MANAGER:

• Ensure that all specifications for product requirement are confirmed
• Review installation site in advance of installation to confirm measurements and look for potential trouble spots – ie pac pole or pillar locations
• Coordinate delivery dates and locations with client staff,
• Inform client staff of any changes required due to site conditions,
• Coordinate with electrical contractors – provide system details etc
• Review all planned installations on a station by station basis with client staff to confirm any special needs such as work surface height, wheel chair accessibility etc
• Work with client staff to help administer desk lock / key inventory

INSTALLATION STRATEGY:

• Unpack the product and salvage any recyclable materials such as cardboard pallets etc
• Install the product to a high standard using only Knoll authorized installers
• Preview installation to ensure all product is installed in the correct location
• Check operation of all drawers, doors and locks
• Test operation of all lights and keyboard mechanisms
• Confirm all accessory products such as monitor arms are installed correctly
• Conduct walk through of completed areas
• Create “As Built” drawings to reflect final layout
• Provide written report of any deficiencies and steps taken to correct
• Clean the work area and all product so that the entire space is ready for use
